Ok, it’s a little behind schedule, but isn’t everything lately? Have you received all of your cards yet? I still have cards coming in. I’ve also been waiting on a package to be for nearly a month as well but that is another story.
I make my cards each year completely by hand. I have in the past used my Cricut, but honestly I don’t think I have used it in about 5 years. I prefer the manual die cutting process. It’s far more time consuming, but there is something about it that is just more enjoyable.
As soon as I saw this Lawn Fawn set I just had to have it!
Enjoyable as I may claim the process to be, I don’t send out many Christmas cards because I like to turn making them into a tedious all consuming challenge 😆
The coloring and cutting and pasting… 🤯
I only do about 20-25.
I only make cards for the holidays, but I’m working on doing it more often in 2021 and making snail mail a more regular thing. Everyone loves happy mail! 😁
No, I’m not! I do this to myself every year. Last minute cards are becoming a tradition – here I am frantically coloring on my lunch break.
This ‘Reindeer Fun’ stamp & die set by Mama Elephant is so cute. Best of all, I didn’t have to order anything online for my cards this year. I get so impatient waiting for craft supplies through the mail, especially when I’m already running behind. I found these at JoAnns!
Thankfully, they are all in the mail as of yesterday. Now I sit and wait to receive a card in return… yes, I sit and wait.
I got a late start to making my cards this year so I needed something quick and easy. I decided on this cute Lawn Fawn stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp.
I spent a portion of 2 lunch breaks coloring these in…
Believe it or not, this is my first time using dies to cut paper. I purchased my Big Shot due to my interest in cutting felt. The dies don’t stay in place as easily as they do on paper so this was like a little adventure.
I cut about 100 or so and used 3 to 4 on each card.
Since it took so much time to color and cut these out and like I said– I really got a late start, I just went with washi tape to dress the cards up to get them out the door!
