Continuing my current dive back into digital illustration, I made some new art in illustrator (while listening to Sammy).
Still on furlough feeling like it will never end, I’m staying positive and spending time on get to some fun creative things. This past week I added new things to both my zazzle and society6 shops.
I’ve been looking at a lot of mid-century artwork on Pinterest. The colors, geometric shapes, and futuristic style has always appealed to me. I even have boomerang counter tops in my kitchen!
Those counter tops were a true labor of love. I could write a novel about how difficult they were to get, but anyway– I really wanted to find a way to incorporate boomerangs in my newest design. I’m happy with how it turned out and made 4 different color options.
Boomerangs and color blocks! I hope to order something for myself as soon as this furlough is over and I can end my spending freeze.
This week went by fast! It started off with shipping out this little lacy felt floral hoop 🙂
I have been so far behind in so many things my days have been full with several chores I never thought I would have time to do. For instance, I spent 2 full days creating digital backups of all my photos dating back to 2001!
I also spent hours cleaning/organizing my craft room. With a newly cleaned room, I felt like I needed an activity that wouldn’t turn it back into a disaster zone so I turned to Procreate. Hours of YouTube tutorials and researching fun art on Pinterest inspired these dandelions. They took quite a while to complete and possibly, maybe, kinda look like sunflowers– but they are my favorite illustration of the week.
That sums up the creative bits of this week. Hopefully, you have found something fun to occupy your mind and ease the anxiety of our current situation–
